On the other hand, it was noted that there were more than 1600 cybercrime cases related to TikTok in Nepal in the last four years.
Rekha Sharma, Nepal’s Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, made a statement. In his statement, he said that the decision to ban TikTok was taken at the cabinet meeting held on Monday. “My colleagues are working to have it technically shut down.”
