“The news and images broadcast around the world since the terrorist attacks on Israel deeply shake me. And I am extremely concerned about the possible repercussions for peace in the Middle East. I have colleagues, long-time acquaintances and good friends in the region. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to everyone who has been subjected to violence and is mourning the loss of their loved ones.

My thoughts are also with the many injured, those abducted and their families. We have contacted various institutions and organizations in recent days because we want to contribute to alleviating the suffering in the field, at least to some extent. Mercedes-Benz is donating a total of one million euros to the charities United Hatzalah for the purchase of rescue vehicles, as well as the German Red Cross, which coordinates humanitarian aid in the region with sister organisations. “We are of course in constant communication with the team at our R&D facility in Tel Aviv, and their safety is our top priority.”
