Facebook, with its new name Meta, has come to the fore again with a development that may not surprise our readers. The company has been exposed to an endless stream of criticism in recent years. The company, which attracted reactions with its practices that disregard the privacy of its users and its efforts to offer ‘personalized advertising’, decided to change its name, perhaps to open a kind of white page. But Zuckerberg and Meta cannot escape the past.
One of the main reasons why Facebook, with its former name, received so much reaction and criticism was that the misleading and harmful information circulating on the platform was not controlled. An open letter was sent to the company from academicians on this subject. As such, Meta’s performance and success rate in the market has also greatly decreased. Yahoo! The most striking aspect of the comments was that each complaint was about a different subject. Named the second worst company of the year, Alibaba has 50% fewer negative reviews than Meta.
It was announced that the majority of the critical comments made for the company were “related to its impact on young people and children”.
