Telegram is getting Stories feature!
Telegram CEO Parel Durov announced today that the instant messaging application will have a stories feature. Saying that this feature has been requested by users for years, Durov added that more than half of the requests received are related to it.
According to the information shared by the CEO, Telegram users will be able to determine who can see the stories they share. Options will include making stories visible to everyone, people in your contact list, or just a few people you designate.
Stories will be displayed side-by-side at the top of the chat list, just like Instagram. With it, users will be able to add a title and link to the story they will share. It will also be possible to tag other people.
As in the BeReal application, video can also be taken using both the front and rear cameras of the phone. According to the information transferred, it will be possible to choose when the story will be removed. There will be 6, 12, 24 and 48 hour options for this.
You will be able to show the stories you share on your profile, just like on Instagram. On the other hand, it should be noted that stories can be shared on channels. Saying that Telegram cannot be imagined without this feature, Durov stated that the final tests have been carried out for the Stories feature and that it will be available to everyone in early July.
