The R&D team of Aras Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ (Aras EDAŞ), which serves in Erzurum, Ardahan, Kars, Ağrı, Bayburt, Erzincan and Iğdır, carried out a 10-month study on “Road Lighting Type”, which aims to lower the mechanisms located on the upper parts of electric lighting poles. He prepared the “Project Development” project.
With this project, Aras participated in the 2nd R&D Training and Dissemination Workshop organized by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority and the Electricity Distribution Services Association and was chosen first among 66 projects prepared by 21 distribution companies.
Within the scope of the project, the device called “NEST”, prepared by the R&D team in the laboratory, started to be placed in the fuse grooves on galvanized steel polygon lighting poles.
With the device that started to be installed on lighting poles in Erzurum, not only life safety and malfunctions can be responded to immediately, but also the use of basket vehicles, which endangers road safety and takes the officer up to the top of the pole, has been reduced to a minimum level.
