According to data shared by Kaspersky, the most popular website categories among children in 2020 were ‘software, audio, video’ with 44.38 percent. While the ‘Internet communication media’ category ranked second with 22.08 percent, the ‘computer games’ category took the third place with 13.67 percent.

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging application, ranks second; TikTok took the third place. In addition, Brawl Stars, Roblox, Among Us and Minecraft were also at the top of the list as the most popular games.

According to the shared data, 50.21 percent of the video searches made by children are cartoon searches. When we look at the most popular cartoons, we see Lady Bug and Super Cat, Gravity Falls and Peppa Pig. TV programs take the second place; The most frequent searches by children on Netflix were Cobra Kai and Stranger Things.
As we mentioned above, TikTok is the most popular social media platform among children. In addition, the increase in educational and creative content on TikTok may cause the platform to increase its popularity in the coming period.
When we look at the most popular games among children, we see that Minecraft with 22.84 percent, Fortnite with 6.73 percent, and Among Us with 3.80 percent are in the top three places.
