Russia continues its war against VPN services. In addition to the 6 VPN services that are currently banned in the country, 9 new VPN services have been banned. According to reports, the Russian federal agency responsible for inspection Roskomnadzor; Betternet has decided to suspend access to Lantern, X-VPN, Cloudflare WARP, Tachyon VPN, PrivateTunnel, and some VPN services.

While explaining that it has blacklisted these VPN services for not complying with the requests of the Russian State Information System (FGIS), Roskomnadzor underlines that it aims to prevent users from using VPN services to access objectionable content such as child pornography and narcotic drugs.

Bleeping Computer, on the other hand, claims that Moscow-based Kaspersky Secure Connection as well as all other VPN vendors refuse to connect to its database.
