Search trends, which list the most popular Google searches of the year, continue to shed light on the consumer market. Today, the most sought-after processor models around the world in 2022 have been announced. How has the fierce competition between Intel and AMD affected user searches? Here are the details

The most popular processors searched on Google in 2022 have been announced

According to the list, which includes 151 processor models, 33 from AMD and 118 from Intel, more than 60 percent of the processor searches made in 2022 were AMD Ryzen processors. However, the first three rows of the list are accompanied by the Ryzen 5 5600X (10,575,360), Ryzen 5 3600 (8,998,720) and Ryzen 7 5800X (7,508,400).

It’s not hard to understand why the Ryzen 5 5600X is so popular. Because the processor, which was released in 2020, managed to collect positive comments from users with both performance and price reductions.

In addition, AMD is making its way to the top 15 among the most sought-after processors in 2022. It should be noted that the results recorded by Intel are somewhat surprising. Because the brand, which has 118 processor models in the ranking, makes up only 38.1 percent of the searches. The most popular Intel processors searched in 2022 were the Core i9 12900K (2,818,560) and the Core i5-12400F (2,741,520), which ranked 16th.

As for the new generation Ryzen 7000 and Raptor Lake processors, we can say that Intel outperforms its rival. In this context, the Intel i9-13900K (1,730,280) ranks 27th on the list, while its rival AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (1,445.880) ranks 32nd.
