Less than four weeks are left for the 65W and below Intel 14th generation processors that will power desktop computers. For those who missed it, Intel announced the 14th Generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors and clarified the K series models in the family. However, the wait still continues for mid- and entry-level solutions that do not have overclocking support. Now, among these models, Intel Core i3-14100 and Core i5-14400 were tested on benchmark platforms.What do Intel Core i5-14400 and Core i3-14100 offer?
Starting from the Intel Core i3-14100, the processor is supported by 60W TDP, a clock speed of up to 4.7GHz (4.5GHz on all cores) and four cores and 8 threads, all for performance. Core i5-14400 offers 10 cores and 16 threads, 6 performance and 4 efficiency. It will also appear at a similar clock speed as the i3 model. Accordingly, the clock speed range specified for P cores is 4.1GHz and for E cores is 3.5GHz.
As for the results, the Core i5-14400F scores 730.4 and 3,624 on the CPU-Z platform, and 1,742 and 9091 points in Cinebench, respectively. Let’s point out that the first of these is single core and the second is multi-core performance. When we make a small comparison, we can say that its predecessor 13100 has CPU-Z scores of 721 and 3,601, and Cinebench scores of 1,725 and 8,884.
