Volkswagen Transporter, one of the iconic minivan series of the automotive world, is preparing to be renewed with the 2024 model. Volkswagen has released the first images of the new generation Transporter minivan called T7. Although the German automotive giant camouflaged the design in the images it shared, it stated that the new Transporter will have a “VW-style” front face.
The images revealed that the Transporter T7 will have similar features to the new Ford Transit. It looks like it will have much softer lines, rather than the previous sharp design. However, Volkswagen stated that it pays attention to functionality rather than form in commercial vehicles.
Transporter T7 is planned to support a payload capacity of over 1 tonne. This means it will be suitable for many cargo and business applications.
In terms of powertrain, T7; With the introduction of the fully electric e-Transporter, it will switch to an electric engine. For those who do not want a fully electric minivan, a plug-in hybrid version called Transporter eHybrid will be offered. The diesel engine will continue to be sold with the updated TDI engine option.
