There has been an important development regarding Starlink, the internet project over satellite that SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company working on space transportation, is working on. The company, which could not start to serve properly at the first stage, has now announced a new subscription package called “Starlink Premium”. The premium package is several times more expensive than the standard package and offers better performance, the company claims.
Starlink Premium comes with an improved version of the kit that the company announced a few years ago. The kit, which has a larger antenna, this time with an angular design, offers much better performance according to Starlink officials. Moreover, thanks to this antenna, it is generally not affected by weather opposition. The speed supported by the new package varies in the range of 150-500 Mbps. The promised delay of Starlink Premium is in the range of 20-40 ms. However, a consumer who wants to have all these has to pay much more money.

Consumers who wanted to have the kit included in Starlink’s standard package agreed to pay $499. The price of the kit prepared for Starlink Premium was announced as 2500 dollars. The deposit required by consumers who want to buy the new kit is announced as 500 dollars. This price was $100 for the standard package. Consumers who agree to pay for all these have to pay $99 to use the standard package, while the monthly amount to be paid for the Premium package is announced as $500.
According to the statements made by Starlink, the new package can be purchased as part of pre-order as of now. It is stated that the deliveries of Starlink Premium kits will start in the second quarter of 2022. However, Starlink has avoided giving a clear date due to past delays.

Our loyal followers will remember. We, as Webtekno, were one of the first customers involved in the project when Starlink was announced. We made the necessary applications and paid the deposit on Starlink’s website. According to the first statements, this kit would reach us by the end of 2021 at the latest. However, such a thing did not happen. Starlink officials, who made statements on the subject a few months ago, announced that there were problems in kit production due to the chip crisis and that there would be a delay. Although we were told that we could get our deposit back during the process, we did not choose such a method. So we are waiting for the kit to reach us. We do not have the slightest information about when the kit will reach us.
