According to the information received, the company is testing the feature that will allow users to leave the conversation in which they are mentioned by other people.
Unmention Feature is Coming to Twitter Users
Dominic Camozzi, responsible for Twitter privacy features, shared what he knows about the “unmention” feature that will allow you to stay away from conversations. As stated by Camozzi, the feature is still in development and will be available to all users in the future. However, for this, first of all, feedback from users will be taken into account.
When your account is mentioned in another user’s Tweet, all you have to do is click on the “unmention” option. This way, people will no longer be able to see your profile in this Tweet and you will no longer receive any relevant notifications. It is currently unclear whether the highly functional feature will be available to everyone.
There is also the possibility that the Unmention feature will be exclusive to “Blue” subscribers, which was recently announced by Twitter. The subscription service, which is only available in a few countries for now, brings many extra features such as undo Tweet, reading mode and bookmarks folder.
