1 million OLED monitors will be sold in 2024
IT industry analyst Trendforce predicts that OLED monitor sales will exceed 500 thousand by the end of 2023, increasing by a massive 323% compared to last year. In fact, it predicts that sales will exponentially exceed 1 million in 2024. When we look at OLED monitor sales, it is stated that Samsung will reach a 27% market share and catch up with LG in the second half of 2023. Dell aims to reach 20% market share as an assertive player in this market. Asus makes up 9%, Acer, AOC, Philips and Corsair make up the remaining 15%.
34 inch monitors are popular
According to analysts, 34-inch monitors account for the lion’s share of sales with 37%. Other popular screen sizes are 27 inch monitors with 32% and 49 inch monitors with 14%. Apart from this, ultra-wide screen, curved monitors are also frequently preferred by designers. Next year, Samsung and LG are considering making it even more popular by releasing 31.5-inch monitors.
