Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, is working on a new social media application that could challenge the dominance of Twitter, which we can describe as the world’s “digital city square”. It is known that the application, codenamed P92, will be a decentralized, text-based platform that will allow users to share updates on their interests in a timely manner.
According to a post shared by popular digital media player Matt Navara on Twitter, the release date of this platform of Meta has been announced. Meta has even started receiving early access invite requests from some Instagram influencers.
What will be the features of the platform, which is planned to be opened in early access in the summer of 2023?
Codenamed P92, this platform will have its own application, but will also integrate with Instagram. Instagram users, influencers they follow on Instagram will be notified when they open an account on this platform and they can easily get followers on that platform.
Focusing on movie and TV actors, producers, writers, directors, TV series producers, athletes and comedians, Meta has started receiving invitation applications to gain early access to the application.
Meta is currently working on giving early access to influencers and celebrities with a high following profile and testing the app before it is released to the public. Apart from that, there is no information about how the interface will be yet.
