You will no longer be able to send an unlimited number of DM requests to someone who does not follow you on Instagram; You will only be able to send one message. If your chat request is accepted, you will be able to continue sending DMs. Also, you won’t be able to directly share a picture, video, or voice note with someone you’re texting for the first time. First of all, you will be able to communicate in written form, and when your request is accepted, you will be able to share something other than text.
Spammers will be blocked
Instagram says that with the new restrictions, people will no longer receive unwanted pictures or videos from people they do not follow, and that they will not be disturbed by repeatedly receiving messages from people they do not know. Instagram states that the feature will be especially useful for women who receive unsolicited inappropriate photos from the DM.
