The service, which will use Nokia’s 25G PON technology, will spread to other regions over time. 20 Gbps super speed internet will be offered symmetrically. For example, 20 people will be able to have a 1 Gbit connection by paying $12.50 per month.
Although Google’s service is expensive, the speed AT&T offers for the same price is 5 Gbit. However, the biggest problem with Google’s fiber service is that it is not widely available in the country. The company currently offers 5 and 8 Gbit speeds to its customers. However, the service is not offered in major cities such as New York and Los Angeles.
