AMD, which recently introduced the AM5-supported Ryzen 7000 and X3D processors, has turned its focus to the AM4 platform. In this context, five new upcoming Ryzen processors have emerged, including two X3D models. These will be Ryzen 7 5700X3D, 5500X3D, Ryzen 7 5700, 5600GT and 5500. Here are the possible release dates and features of the new solutions.

New 3D V-Cache processors are on the way

If we start with the 3D V-Cache models, Ryzen 7 5700X3D is a slightly trimmed version of Ryzen 7 5800X3D. AMD will offer 3GHz base and 4.1GHz boost speeds while maintaining 8 cores and 16 threads in this processor. This configuration is accompanied by 96MB L3 cache and 105W TDP. Ryzen 5 5500X3D, on the other hand, comes with 6 cores 12 threads, 3GHz base 4.0GHz boost clock speed and 96MB L3 cache capacity.

For those who missed it, the clock speeds of both processors are lower than the non-X3D parts, as the first-generation 3D V-Cache has more limited power and thermal limits compared to current models.

Ryzen 5 5000G series is being renewed

Additionally, AMD plans to replace the current Ryzen 5 5600G platform with Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT. The preferred name “GT” here shows us that the two chips will offer a slight upgrade. In addition to all these, an 8-core Ryzen 7 5700 model is also on the way. Not out of the question, it will be based on the Zen 3 core architecture, similar to the 5700X, and will offer lower clock speeds.

The good news is that the AM4 socket has been in our lives since 2016 and there are still millions of people using it. When these people want to upgrade their system, they can turn to the new X3D models to increase performance without changing the motherboard.

Current information indicates that Ryzen 7 5700X3D, 5500X3D, 5600GT, 5500GT and 5700 will be released in late January 2024. Therefore, we can see the new processors being introduced with the Ryzen 8000G AM5 Desktop APU family and hitting the shelves in early February.
