Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the US House of Representatives, is a politician who has repeatedly brought her name to the agenda with her heavy criticisms of Facebook in the congress. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, known as AOC for short, said, “Facebook may have its own problems, but it seems that there is a growing Facebook problem in our society (i.e. our democracy) when the legal debates first flared up over Facebook’s domination of the market in 2019. ” he declared.
Facebook has never fallen off the agenda with the scandals it has signed for years. But this year, criticism has skyrocketed when documents revealing the negative effects of the company’s privacy-destroying marketing techniques on platforms like Facebook and Instagram on children and adolescents. Although Facebook recently announced that they will change its name to Meta, political figures and lawyers think that the company cannot escape what it has done in the past by changing its name. AOC was the name that brought this fact to Twitter with the most sarcastic language.
