You have probably seen a lot of news about Renault 5 E-Tech from March to September 2023. Renault 5 E-Tech design revealed!
Last week, the brand published the first teaser images of the vehicle. Stating that the main concept of the vehicle is “affordable and electric”, the brand also pointed out that the legendary Renault 5 model is an “ancestor” for the new car. Renault brought a new dimension to the electrification trend. Because the brand seems to be modernizing its old cars. We can give the electric Scenic model as an example.
Going back to the Renault 5 E-Tech model, the brand did not go far beyond the concept design. In particular, the rim design of the car is almost exactly the same as the concept design. When it comes to the changes made, we can start with the removal of the red LED bar on the trunk lid of the model. A black line piece has been added instead of the LED bar. Additionally, the Renault logo on the rear has been removed.
There is an interesting detail on the front hood of the vehicle. In the Renault 5 model, a panel has been added instead of the grille that provides air inlet and outlet to the engine. From here, you can access information such as charging time and battery capacity while the vehicle is charging. It is a matter of curiosity how this panel will react in conditions such as rain and snow, as this is the first time such a design is presented.
The infrastructure architecture of the vehicle is the same as Clio. The brand now addresses this platform, known as CMF-B EV, as AmpR Small. A single unit is currently planned for Renault 5 E-Tech, which will have a range of 400 kilometers. However, it is expected that a sports model will be added to the family in the future.
