Adobe, the world’s largest graphic design company based in the United States, will be able to show whether the image is made with artificial intelligence or not with an icon added to the images.
A transparent logo will be added to the images to show whether they meet the C2PA standards produced by Adobe, which also includes giants such as Microsoft and Intel.
The logo contains the letters “c” and “r”. The meaning of this logo was explained by Adobe as a symbol of transparency.
The “cr” logo created will indicate how a piece of content was created or edited. Thus, it will be possible to find out whether the content was created with artificial intelligence or not. The logo belongs to the coalition called C2PA, which was established to determine the originality and source of content. This coalition includes technology giants such as Adobe, Microsoft, Arm, Intel and Truepic.
The logo can be included in Adobe’s photography or editing applications, as well as in places such as Bing Image Creator.
It will also be possible to get information about the content through this icon. When you hover over the icon, detailed information such as who created the content, its description, the application used, whether it was created with artificial intelligence, and if so, which artificial intelligence tool was used, will be presented to the user.
Companies aim to prevent the spread of fake content and false information through this symbol.
Adobe says C2PA companies will begin integrating the new symbol into their services in the coming months. It was also stated that the use of this symbol is not mandatory.
