Xiaomi sold 190 million smartphones in 2021
One of the companies that took the stage after Huawei was blacklisted in 2019 on the grounds that it had a direct link with the Chinese state was Xiaomi. In this process, the company appeared in front of users with correct and appropriate moves, and as of 2022, it took the title of the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world with a market share of 14 percent.
Of course, this was reflected in smartphone sales. According to the 2021 financial reports published a while ago, Xiaomi sold 190.3 million smartphones worldwide. In addition, there was a 30 percent increase in sales compared to 2020.
Premium models accounted for 24 million of Xiaomi’s sales of 190.3 million in 2021. At this point, there was a 160 percent growth compared to 2020. Thus, over $32 billion in revenue was generated from the phone business alone.
Xiaomi generated $51 billion in revenue in 2021, an increase of 33.5 percent compared to the previous year. The company’s net profit, on the other hand, increased by 69.5 percent compared to 2020 and rose to $ 3.4 billion.
