In accordance with European Union laws, Apple will include USB Type-C connections instead of Lightning on iPhone 15 models from this year. After long discussions, new claims continue to come about iPhone models that will eventually switch to Type-C ports.
iPhone 15 will continue to use Lightning technology
Incoming information states that iPhone 15 models may not have all the features offered by the USB Type-C connection. Allegedly, the Type-C connection to be used in Apple’s iPhone 15 models will act via a Lightning-compatible circuit.
In other words, even though the port appears to be USB Type-C, it will actually be part of the Lightning ecosystem. It is expected that most of the advantages offered by USB Type-C will not be present on devices that have only changed ports.
It is stated that Apple does this so that there is no problem with backward compatibility. It is stated that this will allow millions of existing Lightning accessories to continue to work with the iPhone 15 using an adapter.
On the other hand, it may be annoying that features such as high-speed data transfer and high-speed charging will not be included in the iPhone 15 models. The company is expected to adopt USB Type-C technology more efficiently in the coming period.
