Today, camera solutions that can take astronomically clear photos have become standard on flagship smartphones. However, a telescope is still needed to observe the sky. Hestia has taken an interesting step in this regard.

What is Hestia?

The smart telescope called Hestia, developed by the Vaonis initiative, draws attention as the first telescope in the world to be powered by a smartphone. Hestia, which does not look like a telescope in appearance, can offer very detailed images by including the camera of your smartphone.

Hesita centers the camera of the smartphone and the eyepiece with its special technology called Gravity and delivers the images to the user through its application. Using a 6-lens optical design, the device focuses the light directly on the smartphone camera’s sensor with the help of prisms.

The telescope, which supplies its energy from the smartphone, also guides the user with its interactive map. The Hestia smart telescope is gifted for a donation of $189 and is scheduled for release in December.
