The Witcher 3 next generation will be a visually enhanced game with ray tracing, improved screen area reflections, better vegetation and textures. FSR 2.1 and DLSS 3 support is also coming. Consoles will be able to switch between 60FPS performance mode and 30FPS graphics mode with ray tracing. Photo mode is also added to the game. Speaking of photo mode, the camera will allow further zooming.
There are some quality-of-life updates coming to the challenge, particularly the enchantment system. An alternative quick cue option is offered, designed to engage players in combat. A map filtering system has arrived, allowing players to hide question marks marked on maps to draw them more into the game. The minimap has also been updated; Players will now be able to hide the minimap while on the back or while in combat.
CD Projekt Red says that community-created mods will also be included in the next-gen version. This update includes Netflix DLC, which introduces a new mission and several new enhancements.
