As every year, Apple will introduce the iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch 9 next September. However, innovations may not be limited to this. As you know, we’ve been hearing about the new generation iPad Pro for a while. Finally, Apple analyst Mark Gurman clarified the features of the new generation iPad Pro.

The new generation iPad Pro is starting to get clear

For those who don’t know, the current iPad Pro has not undergone a major change compared to the camera, display technology and sensor upgrades made in recent years. The next-generation iPad Pro is said to be the first major update since 2018. At this point, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman reported that iPad Pro models codenamed J717, J718, J720 and J721 will switch to the next generation M3 chip.

Also, this will not be the only innovation. The devices, which will come in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, will come up with an OLED panel. Thus, both devices will offer improvements such as better color accuracy, higher brightness levels and thinner bezel thickness. The M3, which will be based on the 3nm process, will provide better battery life and performance.

As you know, Apple used LCD in iPhone 7 and earlier models. The company still prefers LCD on the budget-friendly iPad Air and iPad mini series, and we’re starting to see mini LED displays on higher-end models. However, this upgrade was only used on the larger 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Now Apple plans to switch to OLED displays on both models.

Also, Gurman said that Apple will release the redesigned Magic Keyboard next year, which will minimize the gap between iPad and Mac. However, since the last word belongs to Apple, it is not possible to say anything definite at this point. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro are expected to debut next year. Therefore, we think that more details will be shared in the future.
