Martin Eberhard, who played a major role in the founding of Tesla with Elon Musk, literally knocked autonomous vehicles down in a statement he made today.

Martin Eberhard, who was perhaps one of the people who played the biggest role in the establishment of Tesla but was forced to leave the company by Elon Musk in 2007, stated that brands should focus on producing long-range electric vehicles instead of “nonsense” such as autopilot. Eberhard states that he supports semi-autonomous systems such as driver assistance assistants and that they should be increased, while stating that vehicles that offer fully autonomous driving are both dangerous and not as important as they thought.
Martin Eberhard, who also criticized issues such as the features offered by Tesla’s in-car multimedia system and receiving remote updates, stated that cars should not turn into smart phones, just being a good car is enough. “Every time my iPhone gets an update, I usually get silly errors. Errors mean danger. Many Tesla users on social media agreed with Eberhard, who talked about the dangers of the system by saying, “I definitely do not want the car that I used without any problems yesterday to turn into a killing machine with an update that came at night.”
This system of Eberhard is much easier to understand, especially considering that some Tesla cars have been recalled in almost every software update in the last few years.
