Spam messages and calls are a common problem for all of us. Almost every day, we receive calls and messages from dozens of sources of unknown origin. In particular, Google does its best to protect users from spam messages and calls. Google Voice users can even see that an incoming call is spam before answering the call. Google Voice users in the iOS and Android ecosystem have now started receiving spam notifications for text messages. The app has started showing users a new notification about messages it detects as spam. Thanks to this feature, users will be more secure than in the past.
This is what the new Google Voice feature will look like
Google Voice will put a large warning icon to the left of a text message it detects is coming from a spam source. Additionally, a phrase like “suspicious spam” will also be displayed. The user will have two options in the messages he sees these warnings. The first of these options will ensure that the number sending the message is recorded as spam. The user who chooses this will never see a text message from that number again. Messages will be sent directly to the spam folder.
The second option offered by Google Voice is that it will not save the phone number to which the message in question was sent as spam. If this option is selected, messages from that phone number will continue to be shown like the others. The feature, which has started to reach users, will reach all users in a short time.
