After Samsung ended the Galaxy Note series, many users said that the company may have shot themselves in the foot. As you may recall, the company discontinued the popular series in 2020. It may have seemed like a risky move at the time, but the firm seems to have paid off.

Samsung’s foldable devices have surpassed the Note series in terms of annual sales in Europe. This is indeed a great achievement as the average selling price of foldable phones is higher than the Galaxy Note series. As a result, the company’s move resulted in higher revenues and profits.

“Our foldable phones are selling super fast”

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 were launched in 38 European countries last August. Since then, sales of the two devices have surpassed the first sales of the Galaxy Note series, which was also launched in August. Industry experts are of the opinion that Samsung’s foldable devices will exceed 10 million sales this year.

Speaking at IFA 2023 in Berlin, Samsung Europe Marketing Manager Benjamin Braun said, “Our latest foldable phones are selling super fast. In fact, annual sales of our foldable devices have surpassed the Note series in Europe.” It should be noted that European users show great interest in Galaxy Z Flip 5, especially among this year’s models.
