Blockchain company Ripple has been named among the most charitable companies.
Ripple, one of the most famous blockchain companies, was named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the most generous companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ripple was named the third most generous philanthropic company with its donations.
Ripple’s cash donations to Bay Area charities last year exceeded $54 million.
Along with Ripple, technology company Cisco and defense industry company Lockheed Martin were among the most charitable institutions.
Topping the list is The Sobrato Organization, a real estate investment firm based in Montain View. The company’s aid has exceeded $92 million.
The blockchain company announced that it has partnered with Tipping Point, a San Francisco-based organization, to increase economic activity in the region. Ripple announced that it will provide $25 million in funding to financial inclusion initiatives in 2018.
However, Ripple’s legal battle with the SEC continues. The other day, Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty claimed that the SEC is bullying crypto companies.
