Bitcoin mining company Riot bought a mining device from MicroBT for around $163 million.

The bullish scenario in cryptocurrencies also affected mining companies. Companies dealing with Bitcoin mining have recently started to increase their earnings. Riot, one of the largest Bitcoin mining companies, made a new investment by taking the market conditions behind it.

Riot knocked on MicroBT’s door, adding more than 33,000 Bitcoin mining devices to its inventory. The mining company paid MicroBT $162 million for these devices.

Riot Bought Over 33,000 Bitcoin Mining Devices

Riot doubled its capacity by purchasing 33,280 new Bitcoin mining devices from MicroBT. With this purchase, the production power of the plant will increase to 20.1 EH/s.

Also, Riot has the option to purchase 66,650 new miner devices from MicroBT. If the mining company uses this option, the production power will increase to 35.4 EH/s.

According to an announcement made the other day, the new mining devices will be established by MicroBT. These devices will be shipped to Riot’s Corsicana facility in Texas. The mining devices are said to cost in excess of $162 million.
