Yes, you read right, the developers thought about that too.The Opera GX browser now has a “Fake My History” feature that will replace the browser history with a fake one if the user dies. It kicks in after 14 days of inactivity and turns your browsing history into a rosy picture to protect your reputation.
It will reflect you as a benevolent and thoughtful person
Opera GX’s fake search history will include inquiries about charity, language learning, animal welfare and volunteering activities. The person who tampers with the browser history when something happens to you; will come across searches such as the best charities to support, online courses to learn foreign languages, how to help homeless animals, and volunteer programs in my area.
Fake search queries will also contain phrases that will portray you as an innocent and helpful person. For example: There will also be questions about charity work, such as how to make a birdhouse or how to become a blood donor to help people in need.
It is possible to activate this feature in Opera GX by typing opera:history in the address bar. You can also use the “Pretend I’m Already Dead” option to have the feature kick in immediately and replace your current internet history with fake queries.
