In 2021, OnePlus released the first phone in the “R” series with the OnePlus 9R. This phone was exclusive to China and India and represented the lowest-end device in the OnePlus 9 series. The company followed this up with the OnePlus 9RT, which was released at the end of last year. In the past hours, some technical specifications about a new model of this R series smartphone have been leaked. It seems highly likely that the company will prefer the OnePlus 10R Dimensity 9000 processor while using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the OnePlus 10 smartphone, making those who expect a Snapdragon processor the opposite corner.
According to the leaks, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor can be found at the heart of the OnePlus 10R smartphone. This is interesting news as the OnePlus 9R and 9RT come with Qualcomm mobile processors just like the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. It was recently confirmed that the OnePlus 10 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, so it’s actually strange to see a MediaTek processor for the OnePlus 10R smartphone.
OnePlus 10R will allegedly come with Dimensity 9000
If we take a look at other leaks, OnePlus 10R may have a 120Hz AMOLED display, at least 8GB of RAM and at least 128GB of storage. Also, if we go back to the leaks; claims that the company may launch the OnePlus 10R smartphone towards the end of the second quarter of 2022. Thoughts about the reason for this delay may be considering the possibility of a decrease in the sales of the newly introduced smartphone by the company.
Interestingly, there is no other technical information about the OnePlus 10R smartphone for now. It is thought that more details about the phone will be revealed soon.
