NVIDIA Cuts Support for Some Popular Graphics Cards

NVIDIA has ended the software support of Kepler graphics cards, which Turkish gamers also use a lot today. These graphics cards will no longer receive updates, except for NVIDIA's security updates. In addition, NVIDIA will require all users to use Windows 10 and above operating systems.

NVIDIA made a statement in the past months that upset many computer owners, especially in our country. In the announcement it shared, the company announced that it will no longer support graphics cards with Kepler architecture, which has been released for about 10 years. The day came when that support would be discontinued, and these graphics cards have now been removed from NVIDIA’s update list.

The latest Game Ready graphics card driver released by NVIDIA did not include graphics cards with Kepler architecture. However, NVIDIA has also discontinued its support for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. Thus, users who want to install NVIDIA’s new drivers are required to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11.

The fact that NVIDIA has discontinued support for Kepler graphics cards means that these graphics cards will no longer receive drivers that offer improvements, performance improvements, new features and bug fixes. NVIDIA has not yet discontinued the support of GTX 750Ti, GTX 750 and GTX 745 graphics cards, which do not carry Kepler architecture and have Maxwell architecture.
