Samsung is producing more foldable smartphones every month. Last December was the second month that Samsung produced the most foldable smartphones ever, while the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was the most produced phone.
Samsung produced about 1.4 million units of foldable smartphones in December 2021. Approximately 1 million of these are Galaxy Z Flip 3 alone, while this figure is expected to increase throughout 2022.
Located in Korea, Europe and the USA, which are among the largest foldable smartphone markets, Samsung is very pleased with the annual increase in demand, especially in the USA. On the other hand, Samsung, which expects the trend to increase in the first quarter of 2022 in Europe, is making calculations to increase its production to exceed 1.5 million units.
When we compare the years 2020 and 2021 in the foldable smartphone market by regions, it is seen that the demand has increased greatly, especially in the USA, while other regions seem to have reached a level of saturation. On the other hand, demand has also increased in Canada. Undoubtedly, this graphic will change with the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4, which Samsung is expected to introduce later this year.
