Geyikli Gece NFT Collection Takes Its Name From Turgut Uyar’s Poetry

Deer Night NFT collection by Digital Artist Gökhan Doğan and Musician Özge Doğan; The most striking visuals of the areas destroyed by the fire were turned into digital artworks with the interpretation of artificial intelligence systems and artists. Natural recordings of fire areas, sounds of animals, vibrations of trees and soil were translated into sound frequencies and used in musical arrangements. The NFT collection took its name from the poet Turgut Uyar’s poem “Night with Deer”.

The collection, which went on sale on July 28, the anniversary of the fire, consists of 50 pieces. The remaining works of the collection, in which the first 10 works are offered for sale, will be put up for sale in 5 weeks.

Gökhan Doğan said that in those days when nature and living things were destroyed, we were among those who tried to extinguish the fire and witnessed the losses, and shared his opinion on the subject as follows;

“The burning of 118,415 hectares of forest area and the death of tens of thousands of living things in the disaster was an issue that we could not ignore as a family, as individuals, as artists,” he said.

Ozge Dogan;

“It has always been on our minds that this shocking story should not be forgotten or ignored, that this sensitivity should be shared and multiplied. We knew that we could describe this destruction that nature, living things and all of us have been subjected to, with our best art.”
