Famous writer and creative director behind the Uncharted series, Amy Hennig has rolled up her sleeves for a new Star Wars game. Amy Hennig’s studio, Skydance New Media, has partnered with Lucasfilm Games for the game set in the Star Wars galaxy.
The latest partnership to develop an action-adventure game with rich cinematics represents a first for Star Wars. The new game, which is stated to have a scenario compatible with the other stories of Star Wars, is still unclear on which characters and which period it will focus on.
The Uncharted team will develop the new Star Wars game
Skydance New Media, led by Amy Hennig, the creative director and lead writer of the first three Uncharted games, will develop the Star Wars game. This will be the second Star Wars project to feature Amy Hennig after Project Ragtag was canceled.
The new Star Wars build is similar to the Uncharted games Hennig is working on It was stated that it will have cinematic narrations. The new Star Wars in the action-adventure genre will apparently be different from previous productions.
Although the agreement between Lucasfilm Games and Skydance New Media has been confirmed, the release date for the new Star Wars game has not been shared. Amy Hennig, the person behind the Uncharted games, said of the deal:
“When I saw Star Wars in 1977, I’ve often talked about how it reshaped my 12-year-old brain and indelibly shaped my creative life and future. I am delighted to be working with Lucasfilm Games to tell the interactive stories I love in this galaxy.”
Star Wars fans are waiting for a lot of new productions in the coming years. We know that Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is in development alongside two other games from Respawn Entertainment. Let’s also remind you that Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was released recently.
