Realme, one of the leading players in the smartphone market, shared an exciting announcement on the eve of its flagship GT5 Pro. The Chinese giant broke a new sales record after its competitors Huawei, Samsung and Apple.

Surpassed 200 million sales

In the teaser image shared today, Realme announced that it has sold more than 200 million phones in just over five years, making it the fifth fastest company to reach this milestone. Let us point out that these figures are a milestone for the brand. For those who missed it, the Chinese giant was founded as a sub-brand of Oppo on May 4, 2018 and exists under the umbrella of BBK Electronics, to which Vivo is also affiliated.

According to Counterpoint Research, while it took the Chinese giant 3 years to reach 100 million shipments, the 200 million limit was exceeded in only 2 years. At this point, Realme’s marketing manager Xu Qi said, “We emerged when there were more than 700 smartphone brands in the world. We are extremely proud to be among the top 10 brands in the world for the last five years.” said.

Let us note that only 14 companies worldwide have shipped over 200 million phones. Realme comes right after brands such as Vivo, Huawei, Samsung and Apple.

Additionally, Realme will soon announce its new flagship phone, Realme GT5 Pro. We have previously told you that this model has taken the leadership seat in AnTuTu.
