The Game Awards 2023 event ended with the games of the year and exciting announcements. One of the biggest announcements at the event came from Capcom. The first trailer and release date for the new game of the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter: Wilds, have been shared.Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to PC and next-gen consoles in 2025
For those who missed it, Capcom has achieved great success in recent years, especially with the Resident Evil series. Monster Hunter, one of the biggest franchises, has fallen behind this success and we have not heard any developments for a long time. However, this wait ended in the past hours. Capcom announced that the new game of the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, will be released for PC, Xbox Series XS and Playstation 5 in 2025.
The first trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds features a number of new innovations for the series, including a sandy desert environment. These will be brand new large monsters, a new flying mount, and variable weather. (We see a sandstorm and lots of lightning in the trailer). Additionally, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto stated that “the game features a whole new level of detailed creatures and ecosystems.”
Unfortunately, this is the only information we have so far. However, Capcom says that more details will be shared at an event to be held in the summer of 2024.
