Marvel Announces Brand New Animated Series Set in Wakanda: Here’s the First Information

Although Shuri now wears the Black Panther costume in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is not clear when we will see the character again. On the other hand, the stories from Wakanda’s past that we see from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be told in an animated series. In this series called Eyes of Wakanda, we see how, in various periods of history, Wakandans collected artifacts made of vibranium, an imaginary metal that only occurs in Wakanda.

Marvel did not share details about Eyes of Wakanda

In the announcement made by Marvel, it is stated that we will follow “brave warriors whose mission is to travel the world and collect dangerous vibranium artifacts” throughout the production. These stories will take place at different periods in Wakanda’s history. Apart from this, there is no information about the structure of the series.

So how can these stories be processed? If the series focuses on a single team, it does not seem very possible for it to tell about different periods. That’s why we can expect a different story to be told in each episode and everything to wrap up in the last episode. It is possible to see the Wakandans in Japan during the samurai period, in Renaissance Italy, and against the Romans and Carthaginians during the Roman period. Perhaps, in this series that returns to the past, we can also see the youth of characters such as T’Chaka, whose names we know but whose past we cannot see.

Eyes of Wakanda could be a very interesting production and could provide a narrative that we have not seen in the Marvel universe for a long time. Of course, when it comes to Marvel in recent years, it would be better not to raise our expectations too much.
