Many real-life activities have been slowly moving to the internet for years already. The universal network, which provides many functions such as shopping, games and work, gains a different dimension again. Metaverse, which is highly anticipated as the future of the internet world, and NFT technology, which has been on the agenda for a while, come together with famous names.

Fans of many famous singers and artists will be able to buy and sell NFT products for their virtual versions. What kind of products will this new Metaverse NFT market, including even the art community, offer? Here are the details…

Genies to design NFT avatars of celebrities

Universal Music Group, the famous record company, did not want to be missing from the Metaverse world, which has been talked about for a while. The company has teamed up with avatar company Genies to create a digital version of famous names that can be used in the virtual world. This market also includes non-refundable NFT clothing and accessories.

Justin Bieber, Rihanna, J Balvin, Shawn Mendes, Migos and many more celebrities will have a virtual identity. These avatars will also be available on social media platforms. In the coming months, NFT clothing and accessories, which will be added through Genies, will be able to be bought and sold by fans.

This will not be Universal Music Group’s first foray into the Metaverse universe. The record label also announced last month that it created a group by bringing together four characters from the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, which looks like Gorillaz.

Some other famous brands and companies are also working on their own NFTs. Adidas is working on its own NFT. Nike and Roblox are also working on virtual markets that include their own digital products and playgrounds. The inclusion of these remarkable names in the Metaverse universe seems to push other brands and game companies, including Fortnite, into this virtual world.

What do you think about the avatar project that Universal Music Group is working on and featuring famous names? Which celebrities would you like to be involved in this project? Do not forget to share your ideas with us in the comments.
