Getir courier, who was on the agenda on social media after he voiced his complaint about the current economic situation in the street interview, came to the fore with an allegation yesterday. Allegedly, the courier was dismissed by Getir because of the interview he gave. A statement about the incident was shared today by Vigo, which provides courier employment services to Getir ve Getir.
In the statement they shared, Getir and Vigo confirmed that the courier was fired, but denied the allegations that the reason for the dismissal was the interview he gave. In the statement, it was stated that the courier did not face any sanctions related to the interview, but was dismissed “for other reasons related to work discipline”. After this statement, a statement came from the courier.
“They did not provide any justification”:
Speaking to Cumhuriyet, the former Getir courier accused Getir, stating that a policy of intimidation was applied to him after the interview. The courier stated that they removed him from the WhatsApp group yesterday, and then said, “Our friend has quit his job”. The courier stated that he was not aware of this situation and that he could not look at the group because there was no internet package. He then continued as follows:
“After that, my friends started calling, ‘Why did you quit your job?’ And I said I didn’t quit my job. When I said ‘they were kicked out of the group’, I understood that they were fired. And they really got fired. They did not provide any reason. ”
He claimed that Getir started acting abusive the day after the interview:
Getir courier claimed in her statement that the day after the interview, they started to behave very badly towards her. Allegedly, he was pressured with words such as “Look, we’ll get you out, pray we didn’t get you out” and threats came. However, he stated that at that time, they knew that they would not be fired because they knew that they would react in such a situation. On the other hand, the courier, who claimed that a policy of intimidation had started to ensure that he would get out of the job, said that when he had an accident with the motor, they made him pay for it.
They said, “They want to take you out”:
The courier claimed that his manager called him a week ago and said, “There is such a situation, they want to fire you.” Expressing that the people in the company thought that time passed and the incident was forgotten, the manager said to the courier, “That’s why I wanted one more chance for you, don’t give an interview or something like that again, don’t lose your last chance.” The courier also said that he had promised to do so.
“They didn’t pay my 5 hour wage”
In addition, after the interview, the courier stated that he told an official who called him that his 5-hour wage was underpaid, and claimed that he received the following reply and that he still has not received his wage:
“What are we talking about, what are we talking about, brother, are you talking about three and five? Pray we didn’t fire you. ”
