The iPhone 15 Pro Max is one of the best smartphones available to buy right now. But that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Although its new design, camera and processor are highly praised, there is an important feature in which it lags behind its predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro Max: Battery life.

After performing various tests, DXOMARK published a report showing how the battery of the iPhone 15 Pro Max copes with situations such as daily use, video consumption, gaming. The good news is that the iPhone 15 Pro Max outperforms the iPhone 14 Pro Max. But unfortunately, it falls behind the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which holds the title of best battery performance on iPhone.

DXOMARK says the device lasts more than 69 hours with moderate use. However, since the power consumed is higher than average, players cannot have the phone they dream of with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

In terms of charging, the 30W charger is relatively weak compared to other smartphones. The iPhone, which has a maximum charging speed of 27W, takes more than two hours to fully charge, which is not an ideal time.

While gaming, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can last up to 6 hours and 51 minutes, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max can last up to 9 hours and 34 minutes. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can play games for 11 hours and 23 minutes with a full charge.

Another interesting information comes about the difference between wired and wireless charging. The phone charges wired to 53 percent in 30 minutes, to 80 percent in 56 minutes, and to full charge in 2 hours and 1 minute. On wireless, it reaches 30 percent in 30 minutes, 80 percent in 1 hour 40 minutes, and full charge in 2 hours 37 minutes.

In DXOMARK’s battery testing global rankings, the iPhone ranks 29th, behind many Android phones. In the ultra-premium ranking, it ranks 8th behind ASUS Rog Phone 7, iPhone 13 Pro Max, Huawei P60 Pro and others.
