Apple gave the new update for both iOS 16 and iOS 17 beta users. After many problems in iOS 16.5, the expected iOS 16.5.1 update was released. For example; There is no information in the update notes regarding outages when connected to wifi, the weather app showing a blank screen or incorrect data, and the battery issue.
Apple recommends installing the iOS 16.5.1 update for security reasons. Fixed a WebKit vulnerability that prevented malicious code execution of maliciously crafted web content, along with a vulnerability that allowed arbitrary code execution with kernel privileges. Apple states that both vulnerabilities are actively used.
