US police recommend using AirTag to prevent theft
The recent “coat theft” in the USA has mobilized the police. With the theft of expensive items in the Washington DC area, some warnings were sent to local residents. Among these warnings, citizens are recommended to use Apple AirTag to keep track of their clothes.
Thieves, especially those who have their eye on coats costing more than $1000, have started to cause big problems in Washington lately. Making a statement on the subject, the regional police pointed out the importance of AirTag to combat this problem.
Made by Apple, AirTag is a Bluetooth tracking device that can be attached to keys, bags and other personal items to help locate them if they are lost or stolen. AirTag owners can see the real-time location of the item on the map using the Find application.
In his statement on the subject, a police officer said, “I have seen people using AirTag in tool bags and suitcases. “I think that’s probably the best thing you can do if it gets stolen, because there’s no other way to track it,” he said.
However, it is recommended that the AirTag be placed in an inconspicuous pocket of the jacket. Especially citizens who want to protect their expensive clothes need to be careful.
