It started the production of Intel’s mining chip series called Blocksale a year ago. The company announced today that the company has ended production of the series.

Intel Ends Blocksale Series

The production of chips, called Blocksale, was announced about a year ago. However, chip maker Intel said on Tuesday that it has stopped production of Blockscale 1000 Series ASIC chips for Bitcoin mining. An Intel spokesperson said the company is primarily focused on investments in IDM 2.0. While continuing to support its customers using Blocksale, he stated that Blockscale chips have completed their useful life.

According to a document on Intel’s website, there will be no orders for the Blockscale chip series after October 20. It was announced that the first customers for Blocksale chips, which were announced about a year ago, were Argo Blockchain, Block, Griid Infrastructure and Hive Blockchain. However, only Hive has approved the installation of mining rigs powered by Intel chips. Argo’s partner, ePIC Blockchain, continues to use Intel semiconductors to promote its own Bitcoin mining machines.
