Bringing the NFT sharing feature to limited countries and accounts in the past period, Instagram increases the number of countries to 100.

The Instagram NFT sharing feature expands to 100 countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and the Americas. Additionally, it will now include wallet links with Coinbase Wallet and Dapper. It also introduces the ability to publish digital collections printed on the Flow blockchain.

Instagram NFT Feature Reaches New Users

With the NFT feature expanding to 100 countries, content producers will now be able to leverage new tools to generate revenue using the power of blockchain technology. Followers will be able to support their favorite content creators by purchasing NFT by purchasing digital collectibles (art, pictures and videos, music or trading cards).

To send a digital collection, all you have to do is connect your digital wallet to Instagram. As of today, Rainbow supports connections to third-party wallets, including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper Wallet. Currently supported blockchains include Ethereum, Polygon and Flow.

The characteristics of NFTs created or purchased are as follows:

  • Linking a digital wallet; Once connected, creators and collectors will have the ability to choose the NFTs they want to share on Instagram from their wallets.
  • Sharing digital collections; When a creator or collector publishes a digital collection, it will have a glittering effect and can display general information such as the NFT’s description. Posts will also be visible on their profile.
  • Automatic tagging of both creator and collector; The creator and collector can be automatically associated in a digital collection post (subject to privacy settings).
