Mobile game maker Gravity announced today its partnership with metaverse gaming platform The Sandbox. Metaverse coin started to rise slightly after the news.

Throughout the partnership, Gravity will bring the world of Ragnarok LAND to the virtual world of Sandbox. Additionally, Gravity plans to host Game Jam, where participants can design their own video games using digital materials with a Ragnarok character, monster, or universe theme. As Ragnarok IP is widely known, Gravity and The Sandbox will provide users with a large ecosystem.

Why is the partnership important for the metaverse coin?
The world and characters of the new Metaverse-based Ragnarok will also be open to players. Gravity’s primary gaming offering, supported on both web and mobile, is Ragnarok IP. Additionally, Gravity owns the rights to the online animated series based on the world of Ragnarok and its cast. Cindy Lee, CEO of The Sandbox Korea, acknowledges the worldwide appeal of Ragnarok IP, praising the metaverse company as one of the factors that made it willing to collaborate with Gravity.
Other South Korean gaming companies have collaborated with Web3 businesses as well as Gravity. Netmarble and Binance signed a collaboration agreement earlier this year to develop blockchain-based products. On the other hand, Sandbox and Anicube Ent are working together to introduce K-Culture to the metaverse.
