The life of 45-year-old Ali Çiftçi, who lives in Istanbul, completely changed when a thief broke into his house on his birthday. During the struggle with the thief, Çiftçi fell from the window of his house on the 3rd floor, causing great damage to his body and especially to his skull. The unfortunate man whose skull was damaged by 83 percent; He held on to life with months of intensive care and numerous surgeries he underwent over the course of two years.
At the end of 2 years, Çiftçi’s heavily damaged skull was largely restored. Titanium skull particles specially produced by the Medical Design and Production Center at the Health Sciences University (SBU) Gülhane Training and Research Hospital were transplanted into Çiftçi’s head. Having regained his old appearance, Çiftçi told AA what happened to him and the difficult process he went through afterwards.
Doctors call him a ‘miracle man’

Fortunately, the Farmer is now in good health as he was before the unfortunate accident occurred. Stating that he can now work as in the old days, Çiftçi said, “I feel like the unfortunate event never happened. I just have platinums in my body. My employers are happy with it, and so am I. I try my best, I work overtime on weekends. In other words, the person who was said to be dead is working now.”
Çiftçi’s complaints decreased by 90 percent
SBU Gulhane Medical Faculty Brain and Nerve Surgery Clinic Prof. Dr. Özkan Tehli, a faculty member, also noted that Çiftçi’s experience was very different, and that the fractures and hemorrhages in his skull and brain were serious before he applied to the hospital. He notes that when he first came to the hospital, Çiftçi’s skull did not have 64 percent of its surface area and 83 percent of its volume. Telhi stated that she was complaining about problems with speech and speaking, “We saw that the patient’s complaints started to regress after the surgery.
