Pixel Watch 2 comes with a brand new heart rate sensor and new fitness features such as artificial intelligence-supported heart rate measurements, stress management detection and intervention, and automatic start/stop, pace training customization, heart rate zone training. The watch offers up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge when the always-on display feature is turned on, and it charges enough to provide all-day use in 75 minutes. Google claims that the watch reaches 50% charge in 30 minutes. On the performance side, an all-new (details not specified) quad-core processor is used.
Pixel Watch 2 also comes with a number of new safety features, including Safety Check, which allows users to activate a timer when they need to check in with family members or friends. The watch has health features such as deep sleep monitoring, ECG reading, blood oxygen monitoring as well as skin temperature detection. Some advanced health features, such as the sleep profile tool, require a Fitbit Premium membership.
The new Pixel Watch comes with Wear OS 4, which brings support for Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play, as well as call, message, email and app notifications. The watch will be compatible not only with Google Pixel phones but also with other Android phones such as Samsung Galaxy.
