What does FreeDOS 1.3 offer?
The FreeDOS operating system, which will be well known to those living in MS-DOS days, is aimed at those who want to use a computer by entering commands themselves without a graphical interface.
The open source software supports very old systems such as IBM XT 286, 386 and even floppy installation. FreeDOS was last updated in 2016.
In the FreeDOS 1.3 update, Kernel has been upgraded to 2043 and uses the new FreeCOM 0.85a command framework. In addition to new games and programs, system packages have also been updated.
FreeDOS 1.3 is 375MB in total and can be experienced on CD. It is also reduced to around 20MB, including zip compression for those using floppy disks.
